creating a brick wall

Today we had a demonstration on how to create a brick wall.
To create a brick wall first you have to have a brick texture so we started by selecting brown and dark grey and using filter clouds. Then added some noise (amount: 3) and created a new layer in chanells, added difference clouds (can try repeating  difference clouds till you get result that you want) , added same amount of noise as before. After finishing all that I went back to layers and applied lightning effects filter (texture: alpha 1).
This is the result that I got.
so now time for easiest. We can just use the whole picture as a brick and repeatedly copy it to create a brick wall or take separate sections of image to avoid repetitiveness.
This is my final result.

Textures

Wood texture

Started this demo with selecting woodish colours: Orange, dark brown. Then used fibers filter which is located in filters-render-fibers. Then then used liquify to make wood texture more realistic by adding branch textures.
In variations you can select different shades of wood.

Stone

Used dark colours like grey and black and then used clouds filter which is located in filter-render-clouds. Then added new channel and used clouds again. Then pressed back on RBG and used lightning effects which are located in filter-render-lightning effects. Then changed light from spotlight to directional and texture to alpha1 and turned up height to 100.

Water

Colours that I used were bright and dark blue then added new layer and used clouds on both layers. Used chrome on top layer and to make waves look blue used layer blending options in which i reduced opacity and changed blending mode.
